Borderlands

 

A textile made from silk sourced from the UK and South Korea exploring the Bojagi wrapping cloth method of construction used widely across Korean textiles. Geometric lines form spaces and borders indicating ownership and identity. Here, it is unclear where the Korean silk meets the British silk, mirroring the transition of the silk industry from the east to the west.
