About this deal

The Skyguard Air Command launched every squadron of their two-man skimmers from their hangars to the south. These disc-like anti-gravitic aircraft were armed with Heat Lances and Missile Pods, and the sky above the city became a frantic mess of gunfire, streaking missiles, explosions and dogfights as the two forces duelled for supremacy.

For all the fun I've had with Burning of Prospero, I still find it impossible not to see it as an entirely redundant game system. And that's a horrible thing to say considering how much the game does right. Legion Veteran Tactical Space Marines in MkIII ‘Iron’ Power Armour – these are split into a 10-man Loyalist force and a 20-man Traitor force. So, who are the villains here? The designers seem to think you should be siding with an invading force of barbarians hell-bent on destroying everything they can; but in any other gaming universe, the Thousand Sons would be the heroes.Bjorn was a nobody in-universe, he was not even a squad leader IIRC. You can't just make him the leader of the SW forces in the Burning of Prospero box, so they decided to create a new character. As it turns out, Burning of Prosperois a new game... and yet... kind of not. And that's the problem. Well, one of the problems. This bombardment was so sudden and so strong that moments after it began, only one population centre still survived on Prospero: a standing unit of Thousand Sons from the Raptora Cult kept a telekinetic shield generated over the city of Tizca. This shield, as hard and impenetrable as those generating it could mentally conceive, proved completely proof against the fearsome orbital bombardment directed at Tizca, even though sympathetic damage to the kine-shield killed several members of the cult maintaining the shield. [1e] Yeah but using the argument of he was a nobody is not a very good one considering this guy came outta no where as well. At least bjorn is a known character now. There was no reason for them NOT to make it bjorn.

Some desired to expand their Legions' Librarius and recruit even more Librarians into their ranks, whilst other primarchs vehemently opposed the entire notion of Librarians and felt that they should be expunged from their ranks altogether. Secutarii Sinister - Approximately 1,000 Secutarii of the Ordo Sinister, attached to the force as support troops for the Chamber Occidentalis. Magnus the Red, Primarch of the XV Legion, Warden of Prospero - Deemed to be in violation of the Conventions of Nikaea and the Emperor's Decree Absolute, for which he was to be captured and returned to Terra for judgement by the Emperor by the forces of the Censure Host. But, in some ways, that feels like an acceptable sacrifice to maintain a streamlined, coherent dice system. And in general, it works really well. And it works well because you have to make it work well. It's a system that front-loads the decisions, and it lays those decisions out on the table for your opponent to see.Great Company The Blood-worm's Masters — 8,600 primarily heavy Breacher infantry and self-propelled artillery These can be assembled as Vigilators, who specialise in melee and carry executioner greatswords, Prosecutors, who operate more flexibly and carry bolters for longer-range combat and Witchseekers, who carry flamers for devastating multi-target assaults. Betrayal at Calthis an incredibly good game, so it seemed like a good idea to create another game in a different setting, yet using the same rules set to avoid the effort of designing something new. For people who had Calth,it would be like an expansion, while for people who hadn't already dipped a toe into the Horus Heresy game line, it would be a standalone starting point. Primarch Leman Russ leads his Space Wolves Legion against their rivals the Thousand Sons during the Battle of Prospero. The Censure Host fared only somewhat better, taking combined casualties of perhaps 49,000 in total and a far greater toll of munitions and machinery either destroyed or abandoned on Prospero. Driven by the cold rage of their Primarch Leman Russ to engage in some of the bloodiest fighting of the campaign, the Space Wolves suffered the heaviest casualties, with some 25,000 listed as killed in combat, and several thousand more besides, mostly of the Thirteenth Great Company simply listed as missing. The figure constituted a substantial amount of the Space Wolves' total strength and by the formal outbreak of the Horus Heresy, a mere handful of solar months later, they'd had little chance to replenish their numbers.
